Varsity women’s volleyball ranked 18th in state

The Women’s Varsity Volleyball Team, coached by Mr. Denny Murphy, has had a winning record this season, holding a rank of 18th in Ohio out of 179 teams in their division.

The volleyball team’s record is 10-3 so far this season, only losing to Bishop Hartley, Alter, and St. Ursula.

Junior Paige Noday is excited to be playing for varsity women’s volleyball team this year. “I think the bond my teammates have with each other has really helped us succeed this year. Being ranked 18th in the state puts a lot of pressure on us though. It pushes our team to do well,” Noday said.

Senior Haley Stultz is happy her team is playing well and is achieving their goals. “To get pumped up before a volleyball game my whole team sings ‘The Climb’ by Miley Cyrus, and we also play ‘Jigalo,’” Stultz said.

The next home game for the varsity volleyball team is against Fenwick on Thursday, Sept. 29 at 6:30 p.m.
