McNicholas thespian troupe to state conference

In the fall, McNicholas Theatre performed Dracula for students, faculty, staff, and parents of the McNicholas community. Due to its successful run, On March 23, 2024, the cast and crew performed it for thespians at the Ohio State Thespian Conference in Sylvania, Ohio.

The Conference took place from Friday March 22 to Sunday March 24. The conference provides a wide range of opportunities to improve and learn new skills by working with other thespians both locally and professionals such as Ryan McCartan who played Diggie in Disney Channel’s Liv and Maddie – to professional teachers across the country.

“Being able to see other people and learn tips from everybody while they were performing helped me see ways I could improve too,” states junior Emily Richmond.

During the conference, Ohio Thespians has the opportunity to award a series of seven scholarships for students who apply. This year, senior Calla Garretson won the Gigi Morelli scholarship.
