As the new track and field season runs around the corner, anticipation is building among students and staff. Science teacher and sprinter coach Ms. Cat Humphries reveals the team’s preparation, emphasizing strength training and perfecting running techniques.
One of the track and field coaches, Humphries, shared insights on how the track team is gearing up for the upcoming season. She mentioned that the team is training hard, focusing on building strength and perfecting their running form and technique.
Their practices are held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on the track in Paradise. During these sessions, the team divides into special event groups, covering 17 events. The first meet is scheduled at Northwest High School on March 29, followed by a home meet on April 11 at 4 p.m.
