The Division II state meet was held in Canton, Ohio at the C.T. Branin Natatorium on February 18-21.

The girls’ basketball team moved on tournament play games defeating Greenon High School in Enon, Ohio, and Urbana High School to reach the regional final game. The season ended when they fell to Alter 67-63 on March 1, 2025. Coach R.J. Strange said, “All in all I thought our season was a huge success. We had a lot of girls contribute in a lot of different ways. 16 wins were the most wins in the last 10 years. It was the first district championship in the last 18 years and the last regional runner-up in 21 years. There is a lot of talent on this team, and it was led by our three seniors.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better way to end it for them. Attitude and effort were keys to this team coming together at the end to make a great run in the tournament. We look to keep the energy up for next year and get back out and compete for a state championship,” Strange said.

The wrestling team also had appearances in the regional tournament with freshman Cici Snyder making it for the girls and placing sixth at the competition. In the boys’ category, junior Spencer VonBusch, junior Gio Scorti, junior Max Monahan, and junior Solomon Snyder also competed. Solomon Snyder said, “It’s really great to play a sport with my sister and I’m so glad we both made it. Together.” Solomon Snyder and Monahan made it to the second day of the tournament, and each won one match but lost the second.
