With the uniform being limited at McNick, it is hard for students to express themselves and show off their personality with their outfits. Backpacks can be a way students can add a pop of uniqueness to their everyday attire.
In a recent Milestone survey sent to students about backpack choices, results showed the most popular backpack at McNick were North Face backpacks. They were the clear number one choice with students saying that they have a lot of space and durability so that the bag will last them throughout high school. Sophomore Chas Evans has a North Face backpack and said, “I chose this backpack because it is popular among peers and has a lot of storage for anything I need.” Other responses included the Nike elite and Adidas bags being the second most popular choice of backpack. Freshman Dylan White has a Nike backpack and said, “I got this backpack because it’s versatile and big enough to use on trips. It also has many pockets, so I always have enough room for my stuff.” Some of the seniors do a tradition where they use kid-themed backpacks for school such as Paw Patrol or Lightning McQueen as a way for them to express themselves and have some fun with senior year.
Backpacks are always going to remain a staple in school and as trends vary, they can come out to be not only for just carrying stuff around, but a way for you to show your style in a fun way every day.
