For the 2025-2026 school year, the Rocket family welcomed 16 transfer students to the community: Sophomores Avry Dugger, Shea Von Hoene, Sam Koch, Jameson Lake, Michael Nelson, Will Remley, Clayton Scott, Seoyen Shin, and Carson White; and juniors Molly Buehner, Piper Cutforth, Lydia Davidson, Jake Debrosse, Joshua Debrosse, Ben Martin, and Maximilian Weber. Counseling Department Chair Mrs. Erica Stablum has assisted these students during their first month at McNick.

Von Hoene said she wanted to come to McNick for, “a better community and connections. I like that everyone here is friendly and it feels like family here.” She added, “I like the block scheduling and all of the extracurricular activities.” Her favorite subject is Modern American with Mr. Young “because he brings life into the class.”

DeBrosse said, “I like that everyone here has been nice and welcoming.” He added, “McNick seems like it will really help me get ready for the future.” His favorite subject is government because, “the teacher helps it make more sense and is super nice and funny.”

Nelson said he came to McNick “for a better opportunity for my future. It also seems like a very welcoming environment and the teachers are amazing.” He said his favorite thing about McNick so far is “teachers, students, all the classes, and being able to be on the football team.”

Lake said he came to McNick for more opportunities. He said that McNicholas and Moeller are similar in a lot of ways and that he “enjoys CREW because it’s very different compared to other school’s homeroom classes.”
