Q: Where did you grow up/go to school?
A: I am a West side girl; I grew up a block away from Price Hill Chili which means a lot to us Westsiders, and I went to Seton High School and Mt. St. Joseph University.
Q: What did you major in to be able to do what you do now?
A: I majored in education; I have my license in special education K-12 and in primary education K-5th grade.
Q: How long have you been teaching, and have you always been in this program?
A: This is my second-year teaching all together, so I have only been in the SAIL (Support and Accommodations for Identified Learners?) program.
Q: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
A: I have a lot of old lady hobbies, so I like to knit, crochet, embroider, and read. I did a lot of theatre in college and high school, so I see a lot of shows in the community.
Q: What were you involved in high school through college?
A: Besides theatre, I was a part of Mission Ambassadors in college which was a leadership club, and I was my director’s assistant in theatre, so I taped the stage. I was also the co-founder and co-president of Creative Writing Club when I was in high school, and I was in History Club.
Q: What are some things you love most about McNick?
A: The community. I was really nervous about coming in because I had only done my practicum in student teaching at public schools, so I was worried how the shift to private would look but everyone was so welcoming and kind and it wasn’t a problem at all.
