Rockettes dance at Anderson Towne Center annual tree lighting

On Sat., Dec. 3 the McNicholas Dance Team Rockettes danced at the annual Anderson Towne Center Tree Lighting Celebration.

They danced to “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” by Mariah Carey, which was a Christmas-themed kick line to go along with the holiday season. They also danced to “More,” by Usher, which combined hip-hop, jazz, and pom choreography.

“I always love to do things for the community to let people know what we can do and to get our names out there,” sophomore Kayla Woods said.

This is Head Coach Erin McGrail’s first year coaching the team. “I am so lucky to be joining this talented group of dancers. They have an incredible work ethic and are very sweet,” she said.

McGrail also said that the girls are stepping up to the plate and performing a lot of difficult steps. The team just finished their first competition routine, which they will perform during halftime at future men’s varsity basketball games.

“This group is making it such a wonderful experience for me,” McGrail said.

The 17 members of the team are Michele Cabell, Hayley Coldiron, Mackenzie Curran, Courtney Dunne, Katie Farr, Jen Foltz, Emily Fortin, Jess Frey, Sophie Huston, Olivia Laing, Courtney Lindsay, Kerry Morrow, Jenn Siemer, Katie Weiler, Olivia Whitt, Hope Wilson, and Kayla Woods.
