McNick is full of over 600 students, each with a unique story and background. The McNicholas Milestone Staff will be featuring personality profiles on many of these students throughout the year. Students are randomly chosen using the letter generator, and then finding students on Schoology using the chosen letters. For this personality profile, the letters aligned with Jeron Heil.
Heil is currently a senior and plans to continue his academics at Miami University this fall. Aside from school, he plays lacrosse, enjoys skiing and other outdoor recreation.
Last August, Heil, his parents, aunt, uncle and cousin made a journey to the western part of the United States for a family vacation. They began their trip by flying from Cincinnati, Ohio into Denver, Colorado where they rented a car and began their roadtrip. First, Heil and his family white water rafted in Colorado. Next, they drove through Colorado and into Wyoming, where they visited Yellow Stone National Park and saw interesting wildlife such as Mountain goats, elk, and many buffalo. “The buffalo swarmed our car when we were in Yellowstone. If I were to stick my hand out the window I could’ve pet them,” Heil said. During their time in Wyoming, they went to a rodeo, rock climbed and saw the Grand Tetons. Lastly, Heil and his family finished up their voyage by traveling north and into Montana and hiked through Glacier National Park.
Heil loves to travel and has gone to nearly 30 states throughout his life. “I would definitely want to go back and do it again, it was a really exciting experience,” he said.
