3, 2, 1, take-off!: Rockets launch 2016-2017 school year

Dear Rockets,

The first bells of the year have rung and classes are again in session. The 2016-2017 school year has officially begun, and while most students at Rocket High may be apprehensive of the upcoming year, I believe that this will be a year of growth and enrichment for McNicholas High School.

With students returning to their schedules, The Milestone staff also returns to covering the major news and discussing the controversial topics of the year. As the Editor-in-Chief, I would like to officially introduce the 2016-2017 McNicholas Milestone staff reporters: junior Wade Brokamp, senior Kelly Ernst, senior Christiane Hazzard, senior Emma Hughes, sophomore Madison McClellan, senior Keeler Pansing, sophomore Vinny Ramundo, senior Spencer Schultz, senior Mackenzie Wagner, senior David Waterman, and sophomore Ellie White.

journalism staff

New this year, The Milestone is welcoming guest journalists. If any student writes an article or has an idea for an article they would like to co-author, please reach out to myself, either by email or in person. You may also contact adviser Mrs. Angie Noble. The Milestone reserves the right to refuse publishing any article at its discretion.

Remember, The Milestone works to serve the student body and faculty/staff of McNick (news by the students, for the students), so if you have any story ideas, questions, comments, concerns, or criticisms, please feel free to contact Mrs. Noble, myself, or reach out to us on twitter (@McNickMilestone).

Sincerely,

Nicholas Wynn

Milestone Editor-in-Chief
