Students are returning to their desks bleary eyed and craving coffee, and it can only mean one thing. The end of freedom is nigh; the nearly 600 Rockets have returned to school. While some of us may be craving their beds, and others air conditioning, The McNicholas Milestone, McNicholas’ student-run online newspaper, longs for new stories.
The staff of student journalists for the 2018-2019 Milestone includes returning members seniors Madison McClellan, Vinny Ramundo, and Ellie White, who will be sharing the editor role, and first year student journalists junior Katie Limberg and senior Michael Schaeper. Junior Dominic Daley will be joining the staff second semester. There are still positions open on the Milestone staff, and interested students should speak to their school counselor or Milestone adviser Angie Noble in room 5 or via email at anoble@mcnhs.org.
In addition to the stories by the staff, The Milestone accepts guest stories as well as letters to the editor. Students who would like to submit an article for publication consideration or would like to co-author a story with one or more of the reporters on The Milestone, should email one of the reporters or Mrs. Noble. The Milestone does, however, reserve the right to edit or refuse publishing to any article at its discretion.
Our goal is to inform and communicate with the McNicholas student body and faculty. We publish stories by the students for the students. Story ideas, questions, comments, concerns, or constructive criticism are always welcome and should be directed toward any of the editors or Mrs. Noble.
