The annual Talent Showcase is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 30 in the Jeanne Spurlock Theatre. Beginning at 7 p.m., eleven acts ranging from singing to dancing to stand-up comedy will take the stage.
According to Thespian president and Talent Showcase coordinator senior Ellie White, singing is the popular act for this year’s show. Masters of Ceremonies for the night are seniors Ben Bravard, Mark Dill, and Ian Rose. Student performers include, in the order of their performance, Elyse Thaman, Ellie White, Dylan Andrews, Sarah Snyder, Eden Patsfall, Julia Straub, Anthony Brandt, Mark Dill, Skylar Maushart, Leo Shannon, Andrew Walsh, Donald Noble, Haley Kohl, Ben Bravard, Matthew Pryor, and Allie Hart.
Many of the students are excited about showing their talents to the rest of the McNick community. Senior Julia Straub, who will be performing “Almost is Never Enough,” said that the yearly talent show is one of her “favorite parts about being involved in the arts.”
“The Talent Show is an event where students who otherwise would not be able to showcase their talents can do so,” White added. Cost is only $2 per person, and all proceeds benefit McNicholas’s Thespian Society, and the approximate run time is 90 minutes.
