The CREW program at McNicholas continues to grow as a central part of student life, focused on building relationships and increasing student engagement.
Student body President for the 2026-2027 school year, Tessa Calcitrai explained “the C.R.E.W. program is an amazing opportunity to build relationships with classmates, teammates, friends, and administration through leading, organizing engaging events, and creating a caring community that works to lead students toward full stature in Christ.”
Student culture coordinator Todd Naumann and student life coordinator Bill Losekamp will oversee the program and work with student leaders to build engagement across the school, with about 125 students that have taken the role to be a part of the CREW leadership program. “We want the kids to be engaged. We want the kids to be involved. We want the kids to have fun,” Naumann said.
Beginning with the 2025-2026 school year, CREW is now organized by grade level. Naumann said, “The idea is that students are able to stay with their grade level and really build those relationships over four years” Losekamp said he is also planning “directed presentations for each class.”
Naumann added, “The first priority of our CREW program is to help build relationships.” Looking ahead, he said the student leadership team will spend the summer planning activities and events for the upcoming school year. “We’re just really looking forward to a good summer and putting together a good plan for next year.”
Calcitrai and Naumann both emphasized the importance of relationships in the CREW program. Calcitrai said, “I really want to help bring students together, especially across grade levels.”
As CREW continues to develop, student leaders and staff will continue planning activities and events for the upcoming school year over the summer. The program remains organized around “courage, resiliency, enthusiasm, and wisdom,” Naumann said.
