Rockets launch 2013-2014 school year

Dear Rockets,

The 7:30 bell has rung, the lockers are now full, and classes have begun. It’s official, Rockets–school is back in session. While most of us are reluctant to leave the glorious freedom of summer, I have faith that this is going to be another good year for McNicholas High School.

As students jump back into their busy schedules, The Milestone staff will be preparing to cover the big events and discuss the pressing topics. As the Editor-in-Chief, I would like to give a special welcome to incoming Feature Editor Lauren Fischer, Sports Editor Sarah Ruwe, and the 2013-2014 staff reporters: Nick Keri, Jordan Lau, Gabrielle Quesnell, Maddie Sorensen, and Hannah Van Zant. Maddie Weir will be joining the staff during second semester.

If you have any story ideas or photo submissions, feel free to contact us at or send a message to @McNickMilestone on Twitter. Remember, you make the news, and we cover it!
