Christmas spirit comes to McNick

Beginning the week of Dec. 8, Spirit Club is hosting a Christmas Spirit Week. Much like last year, members of Spirit Club hope to have a successful turnout of participation. The point of Christmas Spirit Week is to engage the faculty, staff, and students in the Christmas spirit.

While Spirit Club decided on the themes for each day, it has been made clear that either those themes, or the school uniform are to be worn. Senior and member of Spirit Club Emma McDermott said the dress code for the upcoming events will be enforced.

“We are hoping to get people to participate in the themes and not just use it as a jeans day,” McDermott said. “If students come to school in jeans or leggings from Monday – Thursday, they will be considered out of uniform and will be written up.”

Not only will the student body have the chance to dress in Christmas attire, music will also be played between class changes according to the theme of the day.
