Roving Rocket: Students share Mardi Gras enjoyment

“Roving Rocket” is a weekly publication in the McNicholas Milestone. In each edition, the Milestone staff poses a question about a current event to the McNicholas student body and publishes responses of one student from each grade level. This week’s question was: How did you enjoy this year’s Mardi Gras?

ella“My first Mardi Gras was a blast. I was unsure about sitting through the ceremony, but it wasn’t bad. I loved spending time with my friends and it was a wonderful experience.” —Ella Heidorn, Class of 2020.

jacob“This year’s Mardi Gras was fantastic. It gave us a chance to forget about our worries and anxieties of school and enjoy time with friends. The DJ played a well-rounded mix of songs that were well known and it made the dance more enjoyable.” —Jacob Reuss, Class of 2019.

 

 

janie“It was wonderful to see and hear everyone’s accomplishments involved in the Mardi Gras ceremony. I enjoyed being a part of the ceremony this year and the music was well-played.” —Janie Ferris, Class of 2018.

aj“I definitely enjoyed my last Mardi Gras. The pageant was more interesting than in the past because I personally knew each person on court. I had a great time with my date and the group we went with was a lot of fun.” AJ Evans, Class of 2017.
